This information supplies some information not included in the Help section of Exmons Pro 2005 products. Information, guides and tips in this file will help you use efficiently the system and Exmons Pro 2005.

Notice

Recommended user environment Exmons Pro 2005 is best used under the following environment.

Some part or entirety of Exmons Pro 2005 may not work properly with Windows 95/98/Me/NT. Therefore, it is recommended that Exmons Pro 2005 be used with Windows 2000/XP.  Exmnos Pro 2005 is optimized for the screen resolution of 1024*768. Some parts of functions may not work properly with lower or higher screen resolution. Therefore, it is recommended that the screen resolution be set for 1024*768 before use.

Before installation

{ For reinstallation of Exmons Pro 2005, the original CD and product No. are required. Keep the original CD and product No. at safe place. Deleting any files required for Exmons Pro 2005 may cause errors and normal operation of Exmons Pro 2005 may not be possible.

Installation Procedure

Exmons Pro 2005 can not be run from CD. Necessary components should be installed in a hard drive, and software should be executed in the relevant drive.

Warning!! Connect IBEX-Series with computer after installation of Exmons Pro 2005 completely. Installation of some parts of program may not work.

Note : The following is based on installation with Windows XP. Installation of different versions can be carried out in the same manner. For any questions or problems of installation, contact Eagle Eye Power Solutions.

To install Exmons Pro 2005 for Windows

1)Restart Windows. No other application programs should be started at this time.

2)Insert Exmons Pro 2005 CD in CD-ROM drive.

3)Run My Computer on Windows and select CD-ROM drive, and execute SETUP file.

4)InstallShield Wizard will prepare installation.

5) Dialogue Box of Exmons InstallShield Wizard installation as Figure_1 will appear if InstallShild Wizard is normally installed. Click Next to progress.

6)Enter User Name and Organization as in Figure_2 and select Relevant User, and then click Next

7)As in Figure_3, check installation information in the ready to install the program window and click Install.

8)As in Figure_4, Completed window of installation will appear. Click Finish.

USB Driver Installation for IBEX Series

1)After connecting a cable to the IBEX USB PORT and the USB terminal of the computer, the monitor will display a message window indicating a new hardware has been found as shown Figure_5.

2)As shown in Figure_6, when a new hardware search wizard window pops up, press the next(N) button.

3)As shown in Figure_7, select the appropriate driver search(recommended) to search the IBEX driver, then press the Next(N) button.

4)AS shown in Figure_8, after selecting the folder or CD that has the IBEX USB driver, select the FTDBUS.INF file then press the open.

5)As shown in Figure_9, when a confirming window of the driver installation will appear, press the finish button.

6)When the search wizard is completed, the new hardware search wizard window will appear once again as shown in Figure_10. Then press the Next(N) button.

7)As shown in Figure_11, select the FTDIPORT.INF file in the driver folder then press the open.

8)As shown in Figure_12, when a confirming window of driver installation appears, press the finish button to complete the IBEX USB driver installation.

9)As shown in Figure_13, if you look at the Device Manager, you will find the USB High Speed Serial Converter is installed on the universal serial bus and USB Serial Port(COM?) is on the port (COM and LPT).

10)If the USB Serial Port value is set over COM10, reset the prot number to fall as below instruction.

About USB Serial Port setting

When Connection fails due to USB Serial Port No. setting(over 10)

Even with the above message, if USB Port setting is higher than 10, connection for download from IBEX-1000 to program(Exmons) could fail. * For some versions of the distributed software program, USB Serial Port must be set below 10. *

1)My Computer -> Click right button of mouse -> Property (Registration information in case of windows 2000 ) -> Hardware Tab -> Device Manager

2) As the picture, it can be checked that USB Serial Port(COM11) is set at Ports(COM & LPT). (USB Serial Port must be set such that IBEX-1000 is connected to PC by USB)

3)Click right button of mouse -> Property (Registration Information in case of windows 2000) -> Click Port Setting Tab

4) Click Advanced button at the bottom.

5) Change COM Port Number at the top.

6) Check if COM Port is correctly changed.

Start Program

Exmons Pro 2005 start To run Exmons Pro 2005, files in CD must be installed in local hard drive. To start Exmons Pro 2005

1)Click Start Menu and Program > Powertron > Exmons Pro 2005. Double click Exmons Pro 2005 Icon on Desktop screen will also open the program.

2)Product No. in CD case must be entered on registration Window first time and do not need the registration next time.

3)Exmons Pro 2005 now starts.
