FAQs
How long does the gravity-fed eyewash station provide continuous flow?
The Eagle Eye Power Solutions Gravity-fed Eyewash Station delivers a continuous flow of water for up to 15 minutes, meeting OSHA and ANSI Z358.1 emergency response requirements.
Does the station come pre-filled or do I need to add water?
The unit ships empty to reduce weight and shipping costs. Users must fill it with clean, potable water before use and add an eyewash preservative if water will be stored for extended periods.
How often should I change the water in the station?
If using an eyewash preservative, water should be changed every 3 to 6 months. Without a preservative, the water should be changed weekly to ensure safety and compliance.
Can the station be wall-mounted or does it need a stand?
Yes, the unit includes mounting brackets and is designed for wall mounting. It does not require a stand and can be installed at the appropriate height for quick access during emergencies.
Is this station OSHA compliant?
Yes, the gravity-fed eyewash station meets OSHA 29 CFR 1910.151 and ANSI Z358.1 standards for emergency eyewash equipment.
Is the gravity-fed eyewash station suitable for battery rooms or industrial areas?
Absolutely. It’s ideal for battery rooms, industrial workstations, and any environment where chemical exposure or splash hazards exist.
What kind of maintenance is required?
Regular checks to ensure the unit is full, clean, and the nozzles are clear are essential. A weekly inspection and scheduled water changes are recommended.
