Lead Field Service Technician

Schedule: Full TimePay Range: $30.00-$35.00

The Lead Field Service Technician is responsible for performing service work in a variety of environments, including utility, telecommunication, and data center settings. The primary duties will include installation, maintenance, and testing of battery systems, low voltage wiring, and network communication equipment. The Lead Field Technician will also be expected to lead and manage fieldwork, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and on time.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Lead Field Service Support employees and Field Service Technicians on job sites. 
  • Lead Service Projects in the field with guidance from the Service Project Manager. 
  • Perform voltage wiring and router installations. 
  • Install and maintain cellular antennas. 
  • Carry out battery monitoring installations and preventative maintenance tasks. 
  • Conduct battery capacity testing, installations, and removals. 
  • Document daily work activities, site conditions, and project progress through accurate site reporting and emails. 
  • Maintain clear and timely communication with customers, supervisors, and team members regarding project status, scheduling, and site needs. 
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and always maintain a safety-first mindset. 
  • Manage daily schedules, including travel arrangements and on-site work plans.
  • Travel weekly to customer sites across the continental United States, with overnight stays as required. 
  • Ensure job sites are cleaned up thoroughly after completion. 
  • Assist in the accurate completion of Job Safety Analysis (JSA), service reports and other company documentation. 
  • Upload all necessary documents and reports to the company database. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Experience managing or leading a team is required. 
  • Experience in telecommunications, DC power systems, and low/high voltage environments preferred. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and other basic office software. 
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred. 
  • 100% travel required, with flexibility for overnight travel.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with a focus on attention to detail. 
  • Self-starter with a motivated, proactive attitude. 
  • Ability to climb ladders, work in varied weather conditions, and lift up to 50lbs. 
  • Ability to travel weekly and stay overnight as needed (home on weekends). 
  • Strong focus on safety and adherence to safety protocols at all times.

This position will require potential candidates to travel up to 100% of the week and live close to the international airport.

Any job offer will be contingent upon passing a pre-employment drug screen and background check. This position is considered a safety sensitive position and therefore will be subject to random drug screening as required.
