Overview
This guide outlines how to properly reboot or shutdown the VIGILANT system.
WARNING: Do not toggle the On/Off switch without first shutting down the web-interface. Doing so can cause data corruption which can cause the monitor to lose historical data and not operate. The only exception to this rule is when the monitor is already in a state which the web-interface cannot be accessed.
Either of these actions may be needed for the following reasons:
- Reboot:
- When the monitor is updated to a new software version.
- Testing of relay 2 (watchdog) alarm.
- Shutdown:
- When disconnecting the monitor from any power source.
