Procurement Specialist

Department: OperationsManager: Operations Manager
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
Eligible for remote work.
Pay Range: $55,000-$60,000 / year
Location: Mequon, WI

Summary of Position

The Procurement Specialist will provide a wide range of support duties as part of the Operations Department of the organization, particularly in the field of purchasing.

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Approves and processes orders from sales. Can include obtaining shipping quotes, generating proforma invoices, and working with accounting to get payment upfront for certain orders.
  • Evaluates stock levels and custom orders and generate purchase orders for national and international vendors using NetSuite (ERP system.) Determine which orders should ship directly to the customers and which should come into the warehouse.
  • Supports inbound and outbound shipment processing. Can include document preparation, shipping instructions, tracking, and supplying shipment progress information to parties both internally and externally.
  • Expedites POs; monitoring for timely shipment.
  • Develops, maintains, and reports operational metrics.
  • Performs proficient and accurate alpha and numeric data entry into company systems.
  • Assists in organizing and managing warehouse inventory.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or supply chain related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years of previous procurement or purchasing experience preferred.
